Regions Bank CSV Export: Column Layout & Reconciliation Guide

Regions Bank uses "Amount Debit" and "Amount Credit" as column names — with a space before the type word — rather than the standard "Debit" and "Credit" that most import tools match against. Tools that strip spaces from column names or look for exact matches silently leave the amount field blank. The Memo column also holds check reference numbers that get lost when the column is skipped. This tool recognises the spaced column names and optionally appends Memo to Description for complete records.

CSV format at a glance

  • Date format: MM/DD/YYYY
  • Amount layout: separate debit and credit columns
  • Separate Amount Debit and Amount Credit columns.

Where to export the CSV

Sign in → Accounts → select account → Download Activity → Comma Separated Values

Common import issues

  • Regions uses "Amount Debit" and "Amount Credit" (with a space) as column names. Some tools strip spaces from column names — LedgerMatch preserves them.
  • The Memo column contains check numbers for paper checks, which is useful if you need to match checks by number in the reference field.

Useful setup tips

  • Map Date → Date, Description → Description, Amount Debit → Debit, Amount Credit → Credit.
  • Concatenate Description and Memo if your ledger entries include check reference numbers.
