LedgerMatch
LedgerMatch Chrome extension
The LedgerMatch Chrome extension is a browser-based interface for bank reconciliation. It lets bookkeepers open LedgerMatch in a Chrome sidebar, work with bank and ledger exports, review exceptions, and export results without switching between tabs.
What the extension is for
- Open the LedgerMatch reconciliation workspace from Chrome.
- Upload bank statement and QuickBooks or Xero exports.
- Review likely matches, unmatched rows, duplicate risks, and split candidates.
- Keep the reconciliation workflow close to the browser where bookkeeping work happens.
How the workflow works
Install the LedgerMatch extension when it is available for your account, open the Chrome sidebar, sign in, and upload the exports for the client you are reviewing. The underlying workflow remains reviewable: the extension does not silently accept uncertain matches for you.
Who should use it
The extension is intended for bookkeepers and small accounting firms that want a quick browser entry point for recurring reconciliation work. It complements the LedgerMatch web app and does not replace the accounting system.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Chrome extension reconcile transactions automatically?
It opens the LedgerMatch reconciliation workflow, which proposes matches and keeps uncertain, unmatched, and duplicate rows available for review before export.
Can the Chrome extension work with QuickBooks and Xero exports?
Yes. The LedgerMatch workflow supports bank statement and QuickBooks or Xero export files, subject to the supported file formats.
